Yes, is about getting 90 days for mum . A campaign by NUBE urging the government to increase the paid maternity leave from 60 days to 90 days.

I just got to know about the event on Wed from Revathi, WABA Gender Woman and Work Coordinator who is also one of Northen Malaysian Breastfeeding Peer Counselor ( MBfPC) . She would be happy if more breastfeeding support group such as MBfPC or MMPS in Penang able to attend to show some support. Since WABA will also be having their Rep to give a speech. The support is much much more needed.

The event was held at Auditorium A, KOMTAR, 6pm on last Friday. Is a last minute decision for me to attend as I am not prefer to 'singgah' here and there after work. Is also need husband's understanding and cooperation to take care of SI. I promise him that I'll be back by 8.30pm because he has some other thing to do that night. Luckily he understand this 'mak buyung ligat' .

I reached KOMTAR at 6.20pm after managed to cross the Friday jam. Luckily our Penang Chief Minister is on his way so the event is yet to start. I met the other 2 MBfPC friend, Zah and Kak Nida.

After 5 minutes of my arrival, CM also arrived. Is a straight forward program, after some emcee, a special performance by NUBE group I guess, singing a Celine Dion song ( which already been amended for mothers ), a welcoming speech by NUBE Penang-Kedah-Perlis Chairman , bro J.Solomon.


Then followed by Opening Speech/launching by CM. There were about 7 speakers who will be delivering their short 5-10 minutes speech. They were as stated in below photos



Of course, 3 of us were there to support Sara Amin, co-Director from World Alliance of Breastfeeding Action (WABA). Sara has delivered a wonderful, energetic and enthusiastic speech among all. She also mentioned about support group available in Penang and waved at us. We waved to the whole auditorium. Perasan macam Miss World pulak.



The event ended at 8.00pm ( suposed to be 7.30pm if CM did not late .huhuh..) . We were served with light refreshment. Sangat sedap but we are rushing for maghrib, so I don't each much. 8.30pm I drove KakNida back while zah went back with his husband.

I reached home at 9pm and luckily dear husband is at home as his appointment was cancel. Thank you Abang...
